"Active" is about our involvement together in our communities. Active.org.au links geographical communities in all their activist diversity. It was the forerunner of the network of Indymedia websites around the world which focus on news: the crying need for activism in our world. Active on the other hand focusses on the experience of activism and the many ways we are developing and implementing it. I came late to Active, a little after it had provided the software basis for the first Indymedia site covering the antiglobalisation movement at the Seattle WTO.
